Norway Confirms US Envoys Joining Ukraine Talks

1. Oslo Talks Aim to Revive Ukraine Russia Negotiations

Norway’s government confirmed on Tuesday that US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would take part in discussions on Ukraine in Oslo.

The talks will bring together Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, according to a statement from the Norwegian Prime Minister’s Office.

Witkoff will attend the meeting in person, while Kushner, who is suffering from the flu, will participate remotely to avoid spreading the illness.

Store said Ukraine had requested the involvement of the two US representatives and welcomed their participation. He added that Norway and Finland were willing to support ongoing diplomatic efforts, with the aim of making negotiations more constructive.

Local media reported on Monday, citing a US official, that representatives from Britain, France, Germany, Poland, the European Union and NATO were also expected to join the discussions alongside the E4 group.

The talks aim to coordinate a comprehensive proposal that could serve as a foundation for renewed negotiations with Russia, the official said.
