Pakistan Hosts Key Defence Conference to Strengthen Regional Cooperation
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan hosted the Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference on Saturday, bringing together top military officials from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The event is being seen as an important move towards boosting regional defence cooperation and promoting military diplomacy.
Held under the theme “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace,” the high-level meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in regional security, expanding joint training programs, and exchanging best practices in counterterrorism and other military areas. This was confirmed by a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, formally received the participating delegations. In his address, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region.
