
Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, met with the Turkish ambassador to chart a course for enhanced agricultural collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye.
The discussions revolved around leveraging the Strategic Economic Framework to unlock fresh opportunities, with a spotlight on increasing agricultural trade and sharing advanced technology.
Rana Tanveer showcased Pakistan’s rich agricultural potential, emphasizing its capacity to deliver premium products like rice, wheat, mangoes, and dry fruits. He expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to ramp up exports to Turkiye and highlighted the country’s readiness to contribute livestock products as well.
The two sides reached a mutual understanding on key initiatives, including agreements to boost agricultural ties, facilitate technology transfers, and strengthen disease control efforts.
The dialogue also ventured into ambitious territory, with plans to establish joint ventures in agricultural mechanization, aquaculture breeding, and modern irrigation systems—paving the way for a more innovative and productive partnership in the agricultural sector.
This renewed focus on agricultural synergy reflects a commitment to fostering deeper ties between the two nations and capitalizing on their shared strengths for mutual benefit.
