The Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the death toll from continuous Israeli attacks since last October has risen to 36,550. The ministry also reported that 82,959 people have been injured in the violence.
In the past 24 hours alone, Israeli forces have killed 71 people and injured 182 others in seven separate attacks on families, described as “massacres” by the ministry. Many victims remain trapped under rubble and on the roads, with rescuers struggling to reach them.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire, Israel has maintained its offensive on Gaza since October 7, 2023, following a Hamas attack. As the conflict nears eight months, Gaza faces widespread destruction and a severe blockade on essential supplies such as food, clean water, and medicine.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has accused Israel of “genocide” and recently ordered Tel Aviv to halt its operations in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had taken refuge before it was invaded on May 6.–News Desk
