Jerusalem, Wednesday, November 5, 2025 — The Prime Minister’s Office announced that Staff Sgt. Itay Chen, an Armored Corps soldier held hostage by Hamas, has been brought back to Israel after full identification.
Identification Process Completed
The National Center of Forensic Medicine worked with the Israel Police and the IDF Rabbinate to confirm Chen’s identity. After the process ended, IDF officers informed the Chen family that their son had returned home.
