Russia, Pakistan Call for Afghan Peace

Russia and Pakistan have called for “enhanced” coordination among regional countries to promote a “peaceful and prosperous” Afghanistan, as stated by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry. This request was made during a meeting in Islamabad between Russian Special Envoy to Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, and Pakistani Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, where both sides discussed their nations’ relations with Afghanistan. Kabulov, who arrived in Islamabad earlier in the day, emphasized the importance of collaboration in the region.
