Sailors Participate in Swim Call Near Ulithi Atoll, Micronesia

Ulithi Atoll, Yap, Micronesia – On May 19, 2024, sailors from the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land, deployed in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet, participated in a swim call in the waters off Ulithi Atoll. The event was overseen by Navy Chief Warrant Officer Rigoberto Lopez, who provided safety watch, ensuring the well-being of all participants.

Among the sailors taking part in the swim was Seaman Melkevion Cooley, who enjoyed the opportunity to unwind and engage in physical activity in the serene waters of the atoll. The swim call provided a much-needed break for the crew, promoting morale and physical fitness while deployed in the region.
