SEOUL, July 6 — South Korea’s Security Chief Heads to US for Talks

South Korea’s National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac left for the US on Sunday. He will discuss trade, security, and a possible leaders’ summit. Speaking at Incheon Airport, Wi said talks are at a crucial stage. He called his visit a follow-up to NATO Summit meetings in June.

Wi stressed the need for continued dialogue with US officials. He said tariff and security issues will be key topics. Wi plans to meet US counterpart Marco Rubio during his three-day stay. He promised to share updates after his return.
