Three Strategies to Revitalize European Manufacturing

Europe Charts Path to Industrial Renewal

Global Industrie 2026: Driving France and Europe’s Industrial Revival

Yesterday, organizers launched the Global Industrie trade show, set to take place in Paris Villepinte next March. At the press conference, the message was clear: focus on the positives. Despite a challenging economic environment, industry leaders and organizers share a common goal: restoring industrial strength in France and across Europe by engaging all stakeholders in this vital mission.

Regaining Competitiveness in European Industry

The central question remains urgent: how can European industry regain its global competitiveness? Global Industrie 2026 aims to address this issue amid ongoing factory closures and slow industrial growth.

Sébastien Gillet, president of GL Events and organizer of the trade show, emphasized the need to highlight industrial successes:

“We just wanted to focus on the positives. Factories will close, that’s inevitable, but our industry is vibrant. By showcasing successes in French industry, like Bpifrance regularly does, we can show we are moving out of the tunnel.”

Bpifrance Tools and Support for Industrial Transformation

According to Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance, France already has the tools to support industrial transformation.

“Behind the €35 billion mobilized through Bpifrance’s Industry Plan, there is a real toolbox.”

Currently, the program covers 55% of French industrial SMEs, with a goal of reaching 70% in the coming years. It provides financing, innovation support, equity, grants, repayable loans, and advisory programs, including accelerators. Nearly 900 companies receive intensive industrial training annually, 600 of them in manufacturing.

By combining financial support, innovation guidance, and workforce training, France aims to strengthen its industrial base and position European industry for long-term global competitiveness.
