Pam Bondi Secures Influential Technology Advisory Role

Trump Administration Expands Artificial Intelligence Strategy

Donald Trump has selected former Attorney General Pam Bondi for a prominent advisory position within a White House panel overseeing artificial intelligence policy development, according to reports from Axios.

Bondi, who recently stepped down from her Justice Department role, is expected to join the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), a group responsible for shaping strategic recommendations on emerging technologies and innovation policy.

The report stated that Bondi will help strengthen coordination between government officials and technology industry leaders participating in the council as the administration advances its AI-focused initiatives. Her appointment signals increasing political emphasis on artificial intelligence governance, national competitiveness, and technological regulation.

Axios also revealed that Bondi was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after departing the Justice Department. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that she has already undergone treatment and is currently recovering.

Last month, Trump announced Bondi’s departure from her previous role, describing her next position as an important transition connected to future leadership responsibilities outside the department.

The appointment places Bondi at the center of growing national discussions surrounding AI policy, innovation oversight, and cooperation between federal institutions and the technology sector.
