American Lawmakers Meet COAS, Interior Minister; Gen Asim Emphasizes Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

A visiting delegation from the United States has commended the Pakistan Army’s ongoing efforts in combating terrorism. The delegation, which included members of the US Congress, held separate meetings with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

During the discussions, the US lawmakers acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the global fight against terrorism and expressed appreciation for the country’s continued commitment to regional peace and stability.

General Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to eradicate terrorism in all its forms. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening and diversifying bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States across multiple sectors, including defense, economy, and regional security.

The meetings highlighted mutual interests and the desire for enhanced strategic collaboration, especially in counterterrorism initiatives and regional stability efforts.
