Wind chills will remain in the single digits throughout the week, while early morning temperatures are expected to drop below zero on most days.

Record-Cold End to January

Forecasters say that if current predictions hold, the average temperature for the final five days of January will be 13.2 degrees, making it the coldest end to January on record.

Advisory in Place

The cold weather advisory for Philadelphia will remain in effect through Wednesday at 10 a.m. Residents are urged to dress warmly and limit exposure to outdoor conditions during this extreme cold spell.
