Border Patrol Uncovers Narcotics Smuggling Tunnel in San Diego
U.S. Border Patrol agents in the San Diego Sector discovered an incomplete drug smuggling tunnel stretching from a home in Tijuana, Mexico, to a commercial warehouse in Otay Mesa, California.
The tunnel extended over 1,000 feet into U.S. territory. Authorities believe it was designed to transport large quantities of narcotics into the United States.
The discovery highlights ongoing efforts by criminal organizations to exploit underground routes for cross-border trafficking.
