Malaysia to Launch AI Avatar of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim
KUALA LUMPUR, July 10, 2026 — Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is preparing to introduce an artificial intelligence-powered digital avatar designed to improve public access to government information and services, marking a significant step in the country’s digital transformation agenda.
Named PMX AI, the virtual assistant has been developed by Zetrix AI using the prime minister’s speeches, writings, and official policy positions. The AI avatar is expected to be launched within the coming days and will serve as an interactive platform for citizens seeking government-related assistance.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the system will enable users to complete a range of public service tasks, including renewing driver’s licences, making government payments, and obtaining information about education, employment, and other public programs.
The AI assistant is capable of communicating in both English and Malay while also recognizing regional dialects and everyday slang. Developers say it will continue learning from Anwar Ibrahim’s latest speeches and official statements, allowing it to provide increasingly accurate and up-to-date responses.
Officials describe the initiative as part of Malaysia’s broader strategy to expand the use of artificial intelligence across public administration, with the goal of improving service delivery, enhancing digital governance, and making government services more accessible to citizens.
