Argentine President Javier Milei arrived in Madrid late Monday as Spain prepares for snap elections scheduled for November, according to media reports.
During his visit, Milei is expected to deliver a lecture at an economic forum on Wednesday and visit a foundation associated with the Vox party.
Madrid regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso is also scheduled to meet the Argentine leader.
However, Milei is not expected to hold talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez during his stay. His visit is scheduled to conclude on Thursday.
The trip marks Milei’s seventh visit to Spain since assuming Argentina’s presidency in late 2023. Spain’s snap elections are set to take place on November 29.
