WhatsApp Business is stepping up its game with a fresh beta update (version 2.24.26.16) for Android, now available via the Google Play Beta Programme. The update introduces AI-powered replies, enhancing how businesses interact with customers. AI now handles common inquiries, guides customers through purchases, and can tackle more complex questions, all while ensuring transparency with a notification when AI is in use.
The app also gets a sleek redesign with new light and dark theme colors, making it easier to tell apart from WhatsApp Messenger. This update brings the Android version in line with iOS, offering a more polished user experience.
Another exciting addition is the business platform connection. Businesses can now seamlessly link their accounts to the WhatsApp Business app via a QR code, enabling them to manage chat histories and access new features. Currently, these tools are available to select beta testers, with a wider rollout planned in the coming weeks.
