Biden Honors Vets, Vows Expanded Support on Veterans Day

On Veterans Day, President Joe Biden paid tribute to the nation’s veterans, underscoring America’s commitment to honoring and supporting those who defended its freedoms. Speaking at Arlington National Cemetery, Biden reflected on the sacrifices veterans have made, both in uniform and in civilian life, as educators, first responders, business leaders, and more. He urged Americans to draw inspiration from their example and work toward unity.

This Veterans Day marks Biden’s last as commander-in-chief. Quoting Abraham Lincoln, Biden emphasized the nation’s responsibility to “care for those who have borne the battle,” vowing continued bipartisan support for veterans and their families. He highlighted recent legislative progress, including the PACT Act, which expands healthcare for veterans exposed to toxic substances, particularly those who served at K2 Air Base in Uzbekistan.

Biden concluded by urging the nation to honor veterans’ sacrifices by striving for unity and upholding the ideals they fought for. “The world is dependent on each of us to protect what they’ve defended,” he said.–News Desk
