BLAINE, Wash., May 20, 2024 – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) have announced a NEXUS enrollment event at the Trusted Traveler Enrollment Center in Blaine from June 4-6, 2024. During this three-day event, conditionally approved NEXUS applicants can complete their interviews.
Brian Humphrey, Director of Field Operations, emphasized the aim to address the enrollment backlog, while Nina Patel, CBSA Regional Director General, highlighted efforts to expand interview availability.
The event will take place at the Blaine Trusted Traveler Enrollment Center, located at 8115 Birch Bay Square St #104, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day. Appointments are mandatory due to high demand.
NEXUS is an expedited clearance program for low-risk travelers, allowing quicker processing at border points. Interested applicants can apply online at the Trusted Traveler Programs Enrollment System for a $50 fee covering five years of membership. After a background check and conditional approval, applicants can schedule an interview online.–News Desk
