RJ Adds Paphos to Summer Routes to Boost Cyprus Tourism

Amman, May 21, 2024 – Royal Jordanian Airlines will commence seasonal flights to Paphos, Cyprus, starting June 13, 2024, with two weekly flights. This new route aims to enhance tourism opportunities for Jordanians, adding Paphos to their list of holiday destinations alongside Sharm El Sheikh, Antalya, Larnaca, Athens, and Barcelona. The addition of Paphos offers a culturally rich and historically significant complement to visits to Cyprus.

Royal Jordanian, the national carrier of Jordan, is committed to promoting Jordan as a prime tourist destination. The new service to Paphos is expected to boost Christian religious tourism, attracting more visitors from Cyprus to explore Jordan’s historical and religious sites.

Samer Majali, RJ Vice Chairman/CEO, stated that the expansion aligns with Royal Jordanian’s strategic vision to enhance connectivity and develop a robust network across the Levant. The airline aims to reach 60 destinations, supported by a modern fleet of 40 new aircraft as part of its ongoing fleet modernization plan.–PR by RJ
