The 7th China International Import Expo wrapped up on Sunday in Shanghai, reaching a record $80.01 billion in tentative deals for one-year contracts on goods and services.

This amount marks a 2% increase from last year’s deals, according to China Global Television Network.

Held from Nov. 5 to 10, this year’s expo drew 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions, including 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and top industry players—a record turnout.

Notable attendees included leaders such as Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, Mongolian Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene, and Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic.

Around 3,800 journalists from domestic and international media outlets covered the event, where over 400 new products, technologies, and services were showcased.

Since its launch in 2018, the expo has become an important platform for promoting China’s new development model and expanding global trade opportunities.
