US Strike Destroys Iranian Nuclear Site After 15 Years of Planning
In a major military operation, the United States destroyed Iran’s Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant using 30,000-pound GBU-57 “bunker-buster” bombs. The mission, Operation Midnight Hammer, was the result of 15 years of intelligence gathering, weapon development, and strategic planning.
Directed by former President Trump, the strike was carried out by B-2 bombers from Missouri and effectively dismantled Iran’s underground nuclear facility, setting back its nuclear ambitions by years. Officials confirmed all weapons hit their targets as intended.
Following the strike, Iran launched missiles at U.S. forces in Qatar, prompting a large-scale Patriot missile defense response—believed to be the largest in U.S. history. Both American and Qatari troops successfully defended Al Udeid Air Base.
Defense leaders praised the operation as a historic success that created the conditions for a ceasefire and may open the door to long-term peace in the region.
