Israel Recovers Bodies of Four Hostages from Gaza

Ongoing Mission to Bring Every Hostage Home

Israel Receives Bodies of Four Hostages from Gaza

Jerusalem, October 14, 2025 — Israel has received the bodies of four hostages from the Gaza Strip through the Red Cross, the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Tuesday evening.

Transfer and Identification

The Red Cross handed the bodies to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) teams inside Gaza. The remains were then taken to Israel. A formal military ceremony, led by the IDF Chief Rabbi, will be held to honor them.

After the ceremony, the bodies will be transferred to the Health Ministry’s National Center of Forensic Medicine for identification. When the process is complete, officials will personally inform the families.

Support for Families

All affected families have already been updated. “Our hearts are with them in this painful hour,” the statement said. Officials added that Israel’s mission to bring every hostage home remains strong and ongoing.

Public Appeal

Authorities urged the public to respect the families’ privacy and avoid sharing unverified information or rumors. They also promised to continue providing accurate updates whenever necessary.

“The effort to return every hostage will continue until the last one is safely home,” the Prime Minister’s Office affirmed.
