Kremlin questions US focus on ISIS for Moscow attack

The Kremlin has expressed skepticism over the US’s attribution of responsibility for the recent attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in the Moscow region to Daesh/ISIS, viewing it as an attempt to divert attention. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, criticized the US for focusing on a singular narrative regarding the incident and called for patience until the official investigation results are available. Despite the significant casualties from the March 22 attack, with at least 140 dead and over 360 injured, Peskov underscored the importance of awaiting the conclusions of the special services, which are currently examining the evidence and working towards a substantiated version of events. Following the attack, Russian authorities have detained 11 individuals, including four identified as perpetrators, charging them with terrorism.–Web Desk
