Kuwait Urges Citizens to Stay Home Overnight Amid Regional Tensions
Interior Ministry issues safety advisory
Kuwait’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday advised citizens to remain at home overnight as a precaution amid escalating conflict involving Iran, the US, and Israel. Authorities recommended staying indoors between 12 a.m. local time (2100 GMT Tuesday) and 6 a.m. Wednesday (0300 GMT).
The ministry said the measure aims to protect residents, strengthen preventive efforts, and allow security forces to operate efficiently.
Maintaining security and stability
Officials stressed that this precaution is necessary to maintain public safety and stability. Citizens were urged to follow guidelines and cooperate with authorities during the advisory period.
Ongoing regional conflict
Tensions have surged since February 28, when Israel and the US launched operations against Iran. Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets. These actions have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted global markets and aviation.
