Israel and India Strengthen Defense Cooperation through Strategic MOU

Jerusalem, November 4, 2025 — The Joint Working Group (JWG) of Israel and India held its annual meeting today, led by Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD), and Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Indian Defence Secretary. During the meeting, both countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at expanding cooperation in defense, industry, and advanced technology.

Expanding Bilateral Defense Ties

The Indian delegation also met with Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz during the visit. In addition, a special session brought together the CEOs of major defense industries, where participants presented cutting-edge Israeli technologies and discussed new initiatives to strengthen industrial and defense partnerships between the two nations.

High-Level Participation

Israel’s delegation included senior officials from the Political-Military Bureau, the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D), the Directorate of Security of the Defense Establishment, and the International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT). Representatives from the IDF Planning Directorate and other defense offices also joined. The Indian delegation featured senior leaders from the Ministry of Defence and the Indian Armed Forces, highlighting the significance of the bilateral dialogue.

Shared Vision for Strategic Growth

Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram emphasized the importance of the dialogue, describing it as a vital step for both nations. “Our strategic partnership with India is built on deep mutual trust and shared security interests,” he said. “We view India as a key strategic ally and remain committed to deepening cooperation across defense, technology, and industry.”
