On Thursday, August 15, 2024, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an additional consultation with key political leaders and the Attorney General to discuss the ongoing issues related to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
During the meeting, the Attorney General reiterated her stance on establishing a State Commission of Inquiry to assess the humanitarian situation in Gaza. She acknowledged, however, that there is no guarantee that creating such a commission would result in the cancellation of the ICC’s request to issue warrants.
Given the uncertainty surrounding the effectiveness of the commission, the participants also evaluated alternative courses of action to address the situation.
