Netanyahu Vows Escalation in Gaza, Warns Residents to Evacuate
Deadly Attack on Civilians
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday (8 September 2025) addressed the Air Force command center following a deadly terrorist attack at a bus stop. Two gunmen opened fire, killing six civilians and wounding several others. Netanyahu offered condolences to the victims’ families and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
He stressed that neutralizing the two attackers was not enough, pledging to target their supporters and wider terrorist networks.
Strikes on Terrorist Strongholds
The prime minister outlined recent operations, noting that Israeli forces had dismantled terrorist infrastructure in three refugee camps by evacuating civilians and destroying militant strongholds. “My directive is to strike at the nests of terrorism with full force,” he said.
Netanyahu also confirmed that the Air Force had demolished 50 high-rise buildings in Gaza during the past two days. He described these demolitions as the start of a broader military campaign.
Preparing for Ground Operation
Standing at the Air Force command center, Netanyahu said the strikes marked only the beginning of an expanded offensive. Israeli ground forces are now assembling for a major incursion into Gaza City.
Message to Gaza Residents
The prime minister issued a direct warning to civilians in Gaza. “You have been warned,” he declared. “Get out of there.”
