PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Philadelphia stopped a drug-smuggling attempt on July 30. They found cocaine and methamphetamine hidden inside a children’s game that was being shipped to London.

During a routine check, officers noticed something suspicious about the package. They opened the box and closely examined the toy. Inside, they uncovered secret compartments packed with illegal drugs.

According to CBP, the game contained both cocaine and meth, which are highly addictive and dangerous. Although the agency didn’t share the exact amount, they confirmed it was a major seizure.

“This case shows how smugglers try to fool us,” a CBP officer said. “But our team stays alert. We are trained to spot even the smallest signs of criminal activity.”

CBP has started an investigation to track down who sent the package. So far, no arrests have been reported.

Meanwhile, officials stressed the importance of inspecting outbound shipments. Drug traffickers often use cargo routes to move narcotics overseas. However, CBP continues to block these efforts through strict inspections.

In conclusion, CBP pledged to keep fighting international drug trafficking and to protect communities on both sides of the border.
