Iran Condemns US-Israeli Strikes on Energy Infrastructure
President Warns of Global Consequences
Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday condemned recent US-Israeli attacks on Iranian energy facilities, warning that the actions could trigger “uncontrollable consequences” worldwide.
In a post on US social media platform X, Pezeshkian said, “Such aggressive acts will yield nothing for the Zionist–American enemy and their supporters. This will complicate the situation and could have uncontrollable consequences affecting the entire world.”
Airstrike Targets South Pars Gas Field
Iranian media reported that a US-Israeli airstrike struck gas storage tanks at the South Pars in the southern city of Asaluyeh. The strike halted production at two refineries with a combined output of approximately 100 million cubic meters per day.
The offensive forms part of an ongoing joint campaign by the US and Israel, which began on February 28 and has reportedly killed around 1,300 people, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Iran Retaliates Regionally
In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military forces. These attacks have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted global markets and aviation.
The escalating conflict has intensified regional instability and raised concerns over worldwide energy supply and security.
