Truck Explosion Injures One and Damages Homes in Chicago Suburb
A man sustained injuries and four houses were damaged after a small truck exploded on Saturday morning in a suburban area of Chicago.
The explosion occurred in Addison, scattering debris—such as clothing and furniture—across the street and onto nearby properties. According to officials, a piece of the truck struck a structural wall of one home, rendering it temporarily unsafe to live in.
Local reports indicate that a leaking propane tank in the truck’s cargo area caused the blast.
Emergency responders transported the driver to a hospital. Authorities confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening.
