US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Iceland, Greece and Portugal from October 5 to 8, the US State Department announced Thursday.
Rubio will begin his trip in Reykjavik, where he is scheduled to meet Icelandic officials to discuss economic and security cooperation between the two countries.
In Athens, Rubio will head the US delegation at the sixth US-Greece Strategic Dialogue. Discussions are expected to focus on defense cooperation, regional security and energy-related issues.
Rubio will conclude his visit in Lisbon, where he will hold talks with Portuguese officials on defense, economic relations and technology cooperation.
