Jerusalem—Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, attended and spoke at an event this evening (Tuesday, August 27, 2024), held to honor military community security coordinators and their families. The event, organized by the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council, took place at the Cinematheque in Jerusalem.
Before the main event, Mrs. Netanyahu met with the wives of the coordinators, expressing her deep gratitude for their unwavering support and dedication. She acknowledged the vital role they play in sustaining their families while their spouses work tirelessly to protect the nation.
In her address, Mrs. Netanyahu highlighted the significance of the gathering as an opportunity to express gratitude to those who stand strong during Israel’s most challenging times. She emphasized the critical role of military community security coordinators, who, since October 7, have been on the front lines, defending Israel with courage and determination.
“This evening is an opportunity to thank all those who have been there for us in the most difficult and complex moments – for our children, our families, and the entire country,” Mrs. Netanyahu said. She acknowledged the personal and familial sacrifices made by the coordinators and their loved ones, particularly in times of crisis.
Mrs. Netanyahu also paid tribute to the wives, partners, mothers, and children of these coordinators, recognizing their quiet strength and unwavering support. “Behind every such hero, there is an additional force that is no less significant,” she noted. “You stand heroically alongside your husbands, supporting, strengthening, and watching over the home while your loved ones go out to defend us all.”
She further expressed her appreciation for the security forces and emergency squads working in the Binyamin area, whose relentless efforts ensure the safety and well-being of the community’s residents. “Thanks to you, we can continue living routine lives, lives of security and hope for a better future,” she added.
