ollowing a deadly plane crash that claimed 179 lives, thousands of South Koreans have canceled their flight bookings, with Jeju Air reporting around 68,000 cancellations. This includes more than 33,000 for domestic flights and over 34,000 for international ones. The tragedy occurred when Flight 7C2216, carrying 181 passengers, crashed at Muan International Airport on Sunday. While investigations focus on a potential bird strike, some experts are questioning whether the absence of a concrete mound at the airport, which houses a critical navigation system, could have reduced the severity of the crash. The plane skidded without landing gear and collided with a wall before exploding.
