U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) personnel are actively involved in a critical humanitarian mission in Gaza, delivering substantial aid to Palestinian civilians in partnership with USAID and various international collaborators. Since the installation of a temporary pier on June 19, CENTCOM has successfully facilitated the transfer of over 6,206 metric tons (approximately 13.6 million pounds) of aid to local humanitarian organizations for distribution.
This weekend marked a significant milestone with the largest single-day delivery yet, amounting to 720 metric tons (1.58 million pounds) of essential supplies on Sunday. The operations at the pier are temporarily pausing today for scheduled maintenance but are set to resume promptly, continuing the vital support to the region. This operation underscores the ongoing commitment of U.S. CENTCOM and its partners to assist those in need amidst ongoing crises.–News Desk
