UAE Denies Lifetime Golden Visa Rumours, Warns Public on Scams
DUBAI, July 10:
UAE authorities have firmly dismissed widespread rumours claiming that lifetime Golden Visas are being granted to citizens of select countries. Officials clarified that no such category of permanent Golden Visa exists under the current residency laws.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security warned residents and expatriates against falling victim to fraudsters promoting fake Golden Visa offers. These scams often target social media platforms, falsely claiming guaranteed approval for a fee.
Authorities stressed that all visa applications must be submitted through official government portals or licensed service centers. Paying unauthorized agents or third parties may lead to financial loss and legal trouble.
The Golden Visa, launched in 2019, grants long-term residency (5 or 10 years) to investors, skilled professionals, and exceptional talents. Eligibility is based strictly on merit and documented achievements.
Residents are urged to rely on official updates and report suspicious activities. The UAE government continues to take strict action against misinformation and illegal visa schemes to protect public interest and uphold immigration standards.
