Prisoners Vow to Continue Protest
London — Two British activists linked to Palestine Action remain on hunger strike despite severe health concerns, according to their families and friends. Heba Muraisi and Kamran Ahmed, who are being held on remand, say they will continue refusing food until the government addresses their demands.
Muraisi has not eaten for 67 days, while Ahmed has reached 60 days without food. Supporters warn that both prisoners now face life-threatening conditions but remain firm in their decision to continue the protest.
Growing Health Concerns Inside Prison
The hunger strike began in November as part of a coordinated protest involving eight individuals. So far, five participants have ended their strikes after doctors raised serious health warnings.
However, the protest continues. Lewie Chiaramello, who turned 23 on Thursday, remains the third prisoner still refusing food. Loved ones say all three detainees are experiencing dangerous symptoms linked to prolonged starvation.
Government Stance Unchanged
Despite mounting concern from supporters, authorities have not agreed to the protesters’ demands. As a result, the hunger strikers insist they have no plans to stop, even as their condition worsens.
Families and advocacy groups continue to call for urgent action, warning that the situation could soon become irreversible if the standoff continues.
