Ukrainian Soldiers Shoot Down Russian Drones in Donetsk Region

Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region — Ukrainian soldiers used rifles to target and shoot down small Russian drones near the village of Kostiantynivka, according to video footage released by the Ukrainian military.

The footage shows troops firing at low-flying drones as part of ongoing efforts to counter aerial surveillance and attacks. These small drones play a key role in Russia’s battlefield strategy, often guiding artillery fire and monitoring troop movements.

Meanwhile, Russian forces have continued to advance in the area, although at a high cost. On Monday, Moscow claimed it had captured the nearby village of Dibrova following heavy fighting.

As the conflict intensifies, Ukrainian forces increasingly rely on simple yet effective methods to neutralize drone threats, particularly in frontline villages where advanced air defense systems remain limited.
