UN Chief Calls for Meaningful Dialogue Following Libyan Truce

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has called on all Libyan parties to engage in sincere and constructive dialogue following a temporary ceasefire in the capital, Tripoli.

Speaking through a spokesperson, Guterres urged all factions to commit to talks that address the root causes of the conflict and lead to a lasting resolution. He emphasized the importance of good faith negotiations to restore peace and stability in the war-torn country.

The call comes after renewed clashes in Tripoli led to a fragile truce brokered by local and international actors. The UN continues to monitor the situation closely and supports efforts toward a comprehensive political solution.
