16 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Bombing on Rafah

At least 16 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in heavy Israeli bombings in Rafah, southern Gaza. Thousands fled western Rafah after the Israeli army expanded its incursion. Seven of the victims died in airstrikes on displaced people’s tents in Tal al-Sultan. The bombings trapped medical staff and patients in local clinics. Israel’s offensive has now brought it close to full control of the Philadelphi Corridor along the Gaza-Egypt border. Despite a UN ceasefire resolution, the conflict continues, with over 36,000 Palestinians killed since October. Israel faces genocide accusations at the International Court of Justice.–News Desk
