Dubai Company Removed From US Sanctions List

US Lifts Russia Sanctions On Dubai Firm

US Removes Russia-Linked Sanctions on Dubai Company

HAMILTON, Canada — The US Department of the Treasury announced on Friday that it has lifted sanctions on Globe Trekkers LLC, a company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The firm had previously appeared on Washington’s sanctions list connected to measures against Russia.

The decision came from the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Officials confirmed that the company no longer appears on the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, which identifies individuals and businesses subject to US sanctions.

However, authorities did not provide any explanation for removing the company from the list. The change officially took effect on March 6, 2026.

Company Background

According to OFAC records, Globe Trekkers LLC operates from Salah Al Din Street in Dubai’s Deira district. US authorities previously sanctioned the firm under Executive Order 14024, a regulation that targets individuals and organizations accused of supporting Russian activities.

The executive order allows Washington to impose strict financial restrictions. It also introduces secondary sanctions, which means that non-US individuals or companies may face penalties if they conduct business with sanctioned entities.

Sanctions Removal

Despite the earlier designation, the US government has now removed Globe Trekkers LLC from the sanctions list. OFAC did not outline the reasons behind the decision.

As a result, the company no longer falls under the financial and trade restrictions linked to the SDN designation.
