Kremlin signals continued US envoy visits Moscow

The Kremlin has expressed optimism that diplomatic engagement with the United States will continue, as efforts to find a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict remain underway.

Speaking to reporters, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow expects further visits by US representatives, though no specific timeline has been confirmed. He noted that details would be shared once arrangements are finalized.

His remarks come amid reports that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, a senior adviser with close ties to President Donald Trump, may travel to Russia as part of ongoing discussions.

According to recent media reports, negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have continued behind the scenes in recent weeks, even as US officials have also been engaged in addressing tensions related to Iran.

Earlier statements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that the US envoys are also considering a visit to Ukraine, although such a trip would depend on sufficient progress in the talks. Sources familiar with the discussions suggest that additional visits to Moscow are also under consideration.

Witkoff and Kushner have previously held multiple rounds of talks in Russia, most recently in January, accompanied by White House adviser Josh Gruenbaum, as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the conflict.
