Azerbaijan Ukraine Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Ilham Aliyev and Volodymyr Zelenskyy have expressed satisfaction with the growing momentum in bilateral relations during a telephone conversation held on Wednesday, according to statements from both leaders.

In a post on social media platform X, Zelenskyy said the discussion focused on implementing agreements reached during his recent visit to Azerbaijan and on expanding cooperation in areas aimed at strengthening regional stability and security.

He added that both sides reviewed ongoing contacts with international partners and agreed on further steps to deepen cooperation, emphasizing shared efforts to support their respective populations.

Aliyev confirmed the call in a separate statement, noting that both leaders welcomed what he described as positive progress in the development of Azerbaijan Ukraine relations.

The two presidents last met on April 25 in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala, where they discussed bilateral cooperation and signed six agreements covering multiple sectors, including defense cooperation, according to Ukraine’s presidential office.

The latest conversation reflects continued efforts by both countries to expand diplomatic engagement and strengthen political and economic ties following their recent high-level exchanges.
