Canada’s national football team trained in Vancouver as preparations intensified for their second FIFA World Cup match, with captain Alphonso Davies continuing recovery from a hamstring injury.
Davies participated in warm-up drills with teammates ahead of Monday’s training session but remains under return-to-play protocols and was not expected to complete full training.
The rest of the squad trained at full intensity, including defender Moïse Bombito, who is recovering from a tibia fracture sustained while playing for OGC Nice in October.
Canada is set to face Qatar at BC Place Stadium on Thursday after opening their World Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Toronto.
