Canadian Woman Arrested at Champlain Port

CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. – On April 14, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Port of Champlain detained a 30-year-old Canadian woman wanted in Georgia. The arrest stemmed from a negligent vehicular manslaughter charge, with the suspect failing to appear in court. During an identity verification, officers confirmed the active warrant from the National Crime Information Center. Acting Area Port Director Todd Bulson emphasized the role of CBP in capturing fugitives through cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.
