Destroys Iranian-Backed Houthi Vessels in Red Sea

In the past 24 hours, U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) forces engaged in a self-defense operation, successfully destroying three Iranian-backed Houthi uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) in the Red Sea. These USVs were deemed an imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the area.

The actions were taken to safeguard freedom of navigation and enhance the safety and security of international waters. This operation highlights the ongoing malign and reckless behavior of the Iranian-backed Houthis, which continues to jeopardize regional stability and endanger the lives of mariners in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.–News Desk
