Gallant, Austin Discuss Regional Security, Hostage Crisis

Overnight, Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant held a critical discussion with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. The two leaders focused on both operational and strategic coordination in light of the evolving security situation in the Middle East.

During the conversation, Minister Gallant provided an in-depth briefing on the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) readiness and capabilities in response to the growing threats posed by Iran and its regional proxies.
