Jerusalem — April 2025: The B’nai B’rith World Center–Jerusalem and the KKL-JNF will jointly host their annual Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony on May 5, honoring Jewish individuals who risked their lives to save fellow Jews during the Holocaust.
This emotionally powerful event stands as the only one of its kind in the world dedicated exclusively to Jewish rescuers—those who defied Nazi persecution to protect and hide fellow Jews. It will be held at the B’nai B’rith Martyrs’ Forest “Scroll of Fire” Plaza, a site deeply symbolic of Jewish resilience and remembrance.
The ceremony will include remarks from distinguished leaders, survivor testimonies, and tributes to both living and posthumously recognized rescuers. It aims to highlight moral courage, solidarity, and the unwavering human spirit displayed during one of history’s darkest periods.
The B’nai B’rith World Center and KKL-JNF continue their long-standing tradition of educating the public about this lesser-known aspect of Holocaust history. The event is expected to attract a diverse audience, including diplomats, educators, students, and descendants of survivors.
This year’s tribute reinforces the need to preserve the legacy of these unsung heroes and ensure their stories inspire future generations.
