Updated Schedule and Global Broadcast Info for Holocaust Remembrance Events Released

Jerusalem — April 2025: Yad Vashem has released updated details regarding its Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) commemorations, which will begin on the evening of May 5, 2025.

The central state ceremony will take place at the Warsaw Ghetto Square at Yad Vashem, attended by Israel’s top leaders, Holocaust survivors, and their families. The memorial will feature speeches, the lighting of six torches by survivors, and musical performances. This year’s theme focuses on Jewish spiritual resistance and unity during the Holocaust.

The event will be broadcast live on Israeli television and streamed globally via Yad Vashem’s digital platforms, allowing millions worldwide to participate in the solemn tribute.

In addition to the main ceremony, Yad Vashem will host educational programs, virtual exhibits, and survivor testimonies across its online channels to ensure that the stories of the Holocaust are preserved and remembered.
