Prime Minister’s Office Confirms Return of Fallen Hostage’s Remains

Jerusalem, November 9, 2025 — The Prime Minister’s Office announced today that Israel has received the coffin of a fallen hostage through the Red Cross. IDF and ISA personnel collected the remains inside the Gaza Strip and transferred them to Israel.

Military Ceremony and Identification

Upon arrival, Israel will hold a military ceremony led by the IDF Chief Rabbi to honor the fallen hostage. Afterwards, authorities will move the coffin to the National Center of Forensic Medicine under the Health Ministry. Once the identification is complete, officials will notify the family directly.

The Prime Minister’s Office informed all hostage families about the transfer. Officials expressed deep sympathy and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to returning every remaining hostage safely. They emphasized that authorities will continue their efforts until the last captive comes home.
