Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has declared that his party has no choice but to bring their grievances to the global stage. This announcement came through his sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail.
Aleema disclosed that Imran Khan feels unheard by both the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the Supreme Court (SC), leaving them no alternative but to seek international intervention. “We’ve exhausted all local avenues,” she said. “Our last recourse is to take our cases beyond Pakistan’s borders.”
The family’s access to the imprisoned leader has been significantly curtailed. Aleema lamented that even Imran Khan’s personal doctor is now denied entry, describing the restrictions as a form of psychological torment. Previously, family visits were routine; now, they’re tightly controlled.
Despite the challenges, Aleema painted a picture of resilience. She noted that Imran Khan had remained unshaken by threats of AI-generated videos intended to tarnish his reputation. Instead, he smiled at Rana Sanaullah’s press conference, taking it all in stride.
“Imran’s faith in the nation and its social media support is unshakable,” she said. While the family insists they’re not politically active, they remain unwavering in their dedication to his release. Aleema assured the nation that her brother’s vision continues to guide them.
Decisions, she stated, are still being made from Adiala Jail. Their resolve to stand firm until Imran Khan’s freedom remains unyielding, rooted in faith and buoyed by public support. “We fear no threats; we trust in Allah’s protection,” she affirmed, pledging to bring every injustice to light.
